Description
The project aims to develop a new system able to dynamically schedule data providers to match clients writing needs. This can be achieved by means of monitoring the existing data providers using dedicated MonALISA modules. The information collected is further filtered and aggregated to present real-time statistics of their performance.
The system then uses this information to match some heuristic scores in order to decide which are the best providers to fullfill a write or append request. Moreover, the system could be enhanced to allow some access pattern detections and state predictions in order to further tune in the providers allocation mechanism.
